The Prima Klima PK150/160WHSP-EC-THC is an advanced EC inline duct fan from the WhisperBlower series by Prima Klima. Developed in partnership with ebm-papst, this ventilation unit provides a maximum airflow capacity of up to 1400 m³/h with a dual duct diameter flange of 150/160 mm. Key characteristics include an aerodynamic housing design and integrated temperature and humidity climate controls.
Airflow and Ventilation Performance
Powered by a 170 W ebm-papst EC motor, the fan delivers a rated maximum airflow of 1400 m³/h while generating exceptional static pressure. The re-engineered internal airflow path minimizes flow resistance. In real-world installations, the actual air volume achieved will depend on the resistance of duct lengths, bends, and connected carbon filters.
Speed Control and Regulation
This model features integrated temperature and humidity control directly built into the casing. The electronic system manages fan speed based on current environmental conditions, automatically ramping up ventilation when target parameters are exceeded to maintain a constant climate without requiring external controller units.
Connections, Installation and Construction
The duct flange is designed for 150/160 mm connections, offering versatility for common duct sizes. The durable casing consists of two shells made from impact-resistant polyamide (nylon) with integrated control electronics and connections. Measuring 334 x 367 mm and weighing 3.85 kg, this inline fan is built for standard 230 V (50/60 Hz) power sources and easily integrates into ducted extraction setups.
Noise and Operation
The WhisperBlower design focuses on acoustic optimization, significantly reducing turbulence and internal flow noise compared to standard inline fans. Paired with a smooth-running EC motor, it ensures quiet operation across its operating range, although airflow through ducting naturally remains audible at higher flow rates.
